Seven men arrested over Tipperary burglary still being questioned

first_imgSEVEN MEN WHO were arrested by gardaí in connection with an aggravated burglary in Tipperary are continuing to be questioned.The burglary took place shortly after 3am on Thursday morning, when a gang of up to seven men broke into a family home in Killenaule, Thurles.Two of the suspects were subsequently intercepted at Newland’s Cross as they tried to make their escape in the family’s 4X4 vehicle.Following this, a further five men were detained later that morning after being stopped by gardaí near Naas, county Kildare. These men were also in a vehicle that had been stolen from the property.Late last night, the men were brought to court, where gardaí were granted a further 24 hours to detain them.All of the men are being questioned by gardaí about the incident under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
