General Motors announces UK leadership change

Two key appointments were today announced in Zurich by Carl-Peter Forster, GM Group vice president and president GM Europe. Jonathan Browning, GM Europe vice president, sales, marketing and aftersales and chairman of Vauxhall Motors Ltd has been appointed GM vice president, global sales, service and marketing. “Bill’s roles of chairman and managing director will provide strong continuity in the further development of GM’s UK operations and continue to drive our business forward in the UK and Ireland,” said Forster. “Bill has played a key role in leading the UK to become GM’s largest market in Europe and in building exemplary relations with our retailer networks.”Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window) CW (Bill) Parfitt, Vauxhall Motors Ltd managing director, is appointed Vauxhall chairman, effective 1 June 2008. Bill will also maintain his existing GME sales responsibility for GME fleet and CV activities.
