With his tenure at Ohio State over, the legendary coach is now part of FOX Sports.Meyer will serve as an analyst for FOX Sports during the college football season. As for the Buckeyes, they’ll now be led under Ryan Day.Although the move to bring Meyer into the media industry occurred months ago, Mark Silverman just spoke about his recent hirings. Silverman has been the President of National Networks for Fox Sports since January 16, 2018Not only did they sign the championship-winning coach, but FOX also has Reggie Bush on its side. The former USC star should provide great analysis for those watching at home, while Meyer can dissect strategy from coaches.During his conversation about hiring Meyer and Bush, Silverman said “We will be looking to make a major play in college football.”This makes sense considering that Silverman must compete with broadcast crews from ESPN, CBS Sports and other media companies.Mark Sliverman, FOX Sports, president, national networks, talking about hiring Reggie Bush and Urban Meyer for CFB Pre-Game show at #sbjwcs. “We will be looking to make a major play in college football.”— Liz Mullen (@SBJLizMullen) April 4, 2019FOX Sports is creating a new college football pregame show, aimed to compete with ESPN’s College GameDay.The new pregame show will feature Meyer, Bush, Brady Quinn and Matt Lienart.
