Joshua is contracted to defend his IBF title against Kubrat Pulev next and Eddie Hearn revealed he will then take on WBC and lineal champion Fury.But Alexander Krassyuk, Usyk’s promoter, has insisted if Joshua pushes ahead with those plans then the WBO belt will not be on the line.“Usyk’s WBO mandatory had to happen before AJ vs Pulev,” Krassyuk told Sky Sports.“But we were flexible and did not put much pressure on, allowing AJ to complete his IBF mandatory while Usyk fights Chisora.“But this was made with regards that the WBO champ has to make his mandatory versus Usyk. “It means that either Joshua fights Usyk first or fights Fury without the WBO belt.”The WBO have already expressed their opposition to the idea Joshua would fight Fury after he takes on Pulev.WBO president Paco Valcarcel took to Twitter to insist Joshua’s next fight was already decided.“Love to see WBO unified champion Anthony Joshua fighting WBO former and current WBC champion Tyson Fury for the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world, but WBO mandatory should be next.”Fury is expected to face Deontay Wilder at the end of the year with China and Australia being mentioned as possible destinations for the trilogy fight.
