Oysters are most ripe and delicious in March when the feast of St. Joseph is celebrated, and gastronomic experts mention that oysters are best served freshly opened and spiced with lemon juice. You can taste just such, freshly opened and with the smell of the sea during the feast of St. Joseph (March 19) in the restaurants of Ston and Mali Ston and the manifestation of the Day of Mali Ston oysters.center_img By the way, traces of oyster farming in the Mali Ston Bay have existed since the period of Roman rule in this area.
